Samford ROTC Cadet Selected for Air Force Academy’s Exchange Program
In May, the telephone phone call he had hoped for was received by Samford University junior and ROTC cadet Skyler Graham. Graham was told he was invited to take part in a new exchange program between the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Air Force ROTC. This invitation was extended to only six cadets nationally.

This area is formally known as Brewer Plaza or informally referred to as the law fountain. Samford Schedules Send-Off Parties For Class Of 2019
Samford University's Offices of Parent Programs and Admission are working to bring new members of the Samford community together in 17 different cities across the U.S. The Samford send-off parties allow incoming freshman and their families to make Samford connections in their area before they arrive on campus in August, according to Susan Doyle, Samford’s director of parent programs.

Seeds Coffee: Brewing community, ministry, discipleship
It has been a few years in the making, but a new kind of business is ready to spring forward from within the Homewood community. This business is Seeds Coffee Co. At the moment, Seeds Coffee is a company that roasts coffee and sells it by the bag. However, Seeds Coffee’s vision is growing, and they are hoping to open a coffeehouse at 174 Oxmoor Rd in Homewood very soon.

Songwriting for a mega-church
A growing trend among churches around the world has been the production of self-written music. Songs like “All I Have Is Christ” by Sovereign Grace Music and “Cornerstone” by Hillsong are prime examples of churches writing songs. It is becoming more and more common for songs to be written by churches and church staffs rather than independent songwriters.

I like to consider myself a storyteller. Storytelling is at its core an art; an art I've been privileged enough to both study and implement as a part of my academic and professional experiences.

I've found that everyone is trying to tell their story in one way or another. Companies are telling their story through campaigns and marketing plans. While individuals have flocked to blogs and social media to make sure their story is being heard.

The world seems to have learned that something special happens when a story is told. They've realized people listen, minds are molded, affections are built and hearts are won. For those reasons I have a passion for crafting stories, on both a micro and a macro level.

My time in different both academic and professional settings has helped me practice and develop the art of effective storytelling. I'm currently looking for the next opportunity where I can use my skills to help a company tell their story.
